Regions –Zones –Cluster-Areas, whatever it is called, when managing people we have a need to assign them to geographic areas. This is a simple concept when well known boundaries such as states or nations are used. It becomes much more complicated when 1) multiple vendors 2) different skills, and finer granularity is added to the mix. Now vendor A’s region may overlap with Vendor b’s and Vendor C, with unique skills, may encompass both and more.
