Dynamic Scheduling – Dynamic Dispatching
Where feasible, Dynamic Scheduling will yield more field service management work per technician than any other form of scheduling or optimization. With dynamic scheduling, each worker is given only information for the first job of the day‘ when starting work. The first worker to complete work is given the next work assignment immediately, so there is no ‘down time’. Technicians compete to complete the most tasks. Excellent wireless communication, exact technician location, and a relatively interchangeable skill set are need to make dynamic scheduling a success. When these are present, dynamic dispatching can result in a total productivity work increase of 15%+ per day, day after day.
